Terms of Service

This English version is a translation for reference. If it differs from the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) set out the conditions for using AURA (the “Service”) provided by AURA Team (the “Operator”). Anyone who uses the Service, including people who create or view pages (“Users”), is deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

Article 1. The Service

The Service lets Users create and publish, for free, pages that gather their links and profile (“AURA pages”). The Operator may change the Service without notice.

Article 2. Creating AURA pages

  1. You may create an AURA page only for yourself, or for a person, organization, shop or place you are authorized to represent or manage.
  2. The Linktree import may be used only to move your own page.
  3. Minors must have a parent’s or guardian’s consent to use the Service.

Article 3. Prohibited conduct

Users must not:

  1. impersonate others, or mislead people into thinking you are connected with a person or organization
  2. infringe others’ rights, including copyright, trademarks, portrait rights and privacy
  3. post content that is illegal, against public order and morals, obscene, violent or discriminatory
  4. post links that harm visitors, such as fraud, phishing, malware or spam
  5. put excessive load on the Service, mass-create pages automatically, or access or attempt to access it without authorization
  6. do anything else the Operator considers inappropriate

Article 4. Rights to content

  1. Rights to the text, images, links and other material on AURA pages (“Content”) belong to the User who posted it or to the rightful owner.
  2. Users allow the Operator to use Content free of charge as far as needed to provide the Service, such as displaying it, resizing or cropping images, and making share images and QR codes.
  3. Users warrant that they hold the rights needed for their Content.

Article 5. Verified badge

The verified badge shows only that, at the time of verification, the page creator could edit the Linktree page shown. It does not guarantee that a person or organization exists, or that any Content is accurate.

Article 6. Edit URLs and passkeys

Users are responsible for keeping their edit URL and registered passkeys safe. The Operator is not liable for any damage caused by a third party learning an edit URL.

Article 7. Deleting pages and suspending use

The Operator may delete an AURA page or suspend use of the Service without prior notice if a User breaks these Terms, if a page is found inappropriate after a report, or when otherwise necessary to run the Service.

Article 8. Changes, interruptions and termination

The Operator may change, interrupt or end all or part of the Service without notice for maintenance, failures or other unavoidable reasons.

Article 9. Disclaimer

  1. The Service is provided free of charge and as is. The Operator does not guarantee that it is always available, that data will never be lost, or that it fits any particular purpose.
  2. The Operator is not liable for damage Users suffer in connection with the Service, except where caused by the Operator’s intent or gross negligence.
  3. The Operator is not responsible for the content of sites linked from AURA pages.

Article 10. Changes to these Terms

The Operator may change these Terms when necessary. Changes take effect when posted on the Service.

Article 11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute about the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction, in the first instance, of the district court with jurisdiction over the Operator’s address.
